Shipping & Delivery

We're a B2B trade marketplace — every lot is dispatched directly by the verified Seller using a tracked UK courier service we've pre-negotiated on their behalf. The shipping price you see on each listing is the final, all-in delivery cost for the UK Mainland. The exact dispatch and transit timings below apply to every order, regardless of which Seller fulfils it.

Dispatch time

  • Orders placed and paid for before 12:00 UK time on a working day are dispatched the same working day.
  • Orders placed after 12:00 UK, on weekends or on UK public holidays are dispatched on the next working day.
  • For multi-lot orders, dispatch begins once all lots are paid for and inspected by the Seller. You'll receive a Resend email with tracking the moment each lot leaves the warehouse.

Estimated transit time

All UK Mainland orders ship via our integrated courier network — Parcel2Go for parcels (lots with shipping under £30) and Palletways for pallet-sized lots (£30 and above). Both partners give us tracked, signed-for service nationwide.

We deliberately under-promise so we can over-deliver. Most parcel orders arrive in 2–3 working days; we quote the full 3–5 window so you're never disappointed.

Maximum delivery window: in line with our Buyer Terms, please allow up to 8 UK working days from payment for delivery before raising a non-delivery issue. This buffer covers rare courier exceptions (severe weather, depot backlogs, BFPO-style postcode issues).

Shipping costs

Shipping is priced per listing, not per cart

Because every lot has a different size, weight and pickup location, the shipping cost is set by the Seller on each individual listing and varies from free (Seller absorbs it) to a few hundred pounds (a full pallet to the Highlands). The shipping price quoted on every listing card, every product page and every Google Shopping result is the final, all-in delivery cost for that specific lot to a UK Mainland address — calculated live against our Parcel2Go / Palletways contract rates.

  • The shipping price displayed on each listing is the final, all-in cost for a single UK Mainland address — there are no hidden fuel surcharges, weight upcharges or residential supplements added at checkout.
  • Pricing is shown ex-VAT and inc-VAT on every listing. UK VAT at 20% is applied to the shipping element where applicable and is fully reclaimable on your HMRC return.
  • Sellers who offer "Free shipping" absorb the courier cost themselves — the £0 displayed is a real £0 to you. See exclusions below.
  • Some lots are collection-only — clearly flagged on the listing card. For these you arrange uplift directly with the Seller at the disclosed pickup postcode, on a date you both agree.

Where we ship — UK coverage

We ship to all of UK Mainland. The shipping quotation on every listing applies to mainland England, Wales and mainland Scotland (south of Inverness).

Excluded from "free shipping"

  • Scottish Highlands & Islands (IV, KW, HS, ZE, PA20+, PH17+)
  • Northern Ireland (BT)
  • Isle of Man (IM)
  • Isle of Wight (PO30–PO41)
  • Channel Islands (GY, JE)
  • Offshore territories & BFPO

Buyers in the excluded zones can still order — the Seller will contact you within one working day with a bespoke courier quotation before dispatch.

Packaging & risk in transit

  • All lots ship in trade-grade packaging suitable for the goods — double-walled cartons for fragile items, shrink-wrapped pallets with edge protection for bulk lots, tamper-evident seals on high-value parcels.
  • Risk passes on dispatch. Once the lot leaves the Seller's warehouse with the courier, it travels at the Buyer's risk — every lot is dispatched fully tracked and signed-for so transit issues are insurable and resolvable.
  • If goods arrive damaged in transit, missing items, or short-shipped, raise the issue with the Seller within 7 calendar days via the order page on your dashboard. See our Buyer Terms for the formal resolution process.

Tracking your order

Every order placed on StockMarketplace.co.uk is tracked end-to-end:

  • Order placed → instant confirmation email with your invoice (PDF) and the Seller's masked contact details until payment clears.
  • Dispatched → automated tracking email with courier name, consignment number and a live tracking link.
  • Out for delivery → SMS or email from the courier with a delivery window (where supported by the carrier).
  • Delivered → final confirmation email asking you to confirm receipt. Funds are released to the Seller 14 working days after confirmation under our broker-of-record model.

All tracking information is visible at any time on your Orders dashboard.

Returns & refunds

Because every lot is sold B2B between trade businesses, all sales are final and non-refundable once payment clears. However, if the goods arrive materially different from the listing (damaged, short-shipped, mis-described or counterfeit), you have a 7-day issue window from delivery to raise a dispute. Delays & exceptions

  • Severe weather / strike action. Courier delays outside our control extend the dispatch window — we'll email you proactively if your order is affected.
  • Failed delivery attempts. Most carriers attempt delivery up to 3 times before holding the parcel at the local depot. After 5 working days at the depot, the goods are returned to the Seller and a redelivery fee may apply.
  • Incorrect address. Always double-check the delivery address you submitted at sign-up. Address corrections after dispatch incur a courier reroute fee (typically £8–£20 + VAT) charged at cost.
